Pattern of the Month - December 1999 Button Flower I (2
shuttles) Ever get tired of a pattern with the same center ring with picots? Then change that center ring for something else round with holes - for example, a button! You'll need a button with four center holes, hopefully with the buttons holes not crowded toward the center but closer to the edge. Dig through your jars of old buttons or go cruising through the sewing section of your local craft store to look at some of the new colors and designs. Pick a favorite and some matching - or contrasting - thread and have a go at the following. (Start the design at a large center ring, marked with "A" in the chart below.)
