Pattern of the Month - July 1999 Spiral (2 shuttles)
A five-sided, spiral medallion that incorporates a rather regular use of irregularly matched elements. Placing picots on only one of the larger chains gives the illusion that the "petals" are slanting slightly; giving a false spiraling appearance. Begin the pattern at an inner ring and move next to the long chain with the series of picots. The red ' x ' refers to a locking join.
