Pattern of the Month - October 1999

Robed Angel (2 shuttles)
1999 Lisa C. Trumble

The Robed Angel came in response to a viewer request. A fairly simple design, it does allow for both beadwork (on the wings in the sample below) as well as experimentation with various types of thread. While tatting and crochet cotton are the most traditional types of thread used in tatting, interesting results are possible with other types usually utilized in other types of needlework: embroidery, cross-stitch, or needlepoint. --- Lisa
