There are numerous resources for tatting - both on and off the Internet. The following are just a few. More will be added as space permits. They are collected into the following categories:

Publications

  • Piecework - a quality, color magazine dedicated to featuring not only patterns on a wide variety of hand crafts but also historical articles about the times and people of these arts. Back issues of their magazines can be ordered from their website.

  • Herrschners - carries a wide variety of stitchery supplies, including tatting thread and the various DMC cotton threads - Cordonnet and Cebelia. They also carry various swatch cards that will show all the thread colors for the various types they sell. A nice reference to have if you plan on ordering threads mailorder or online since you won't be able to compare colors as you would in an actual retail store.
